The transformation story of Manji Yakubu.
Manji Yakubu who was once a drug addict was engaged by CRUDAN in 2019 on the training on Illicit use of substance. After the training he was able to mobilise his friends and advised them to shun the illicit use of drugs. He and his friends were later invited for a training on Environmental and Economic Sustainability project in 2021, where they were taught on turning waste into wealth.
After that he and 13 of his friends formed a structure called Youth Light Initiative which was aimed at engaging members of their community in becoming economically independent, self reliant, thereby reducing poverty and the vicious circle of drug use.
They are now into making and selling of compost manures in bags to farmers and individuals, thereby improving their source of livelihood
